The Rushing Air | Quick Piece Breakdown

The Rushing Air

First of all, let me apologize for not positing a poetry breakdown for two weeks. I’ve been having some difficulty forming a story, so if this story felt rushed and basic, then that’s probably why. I wouldn’t even call this a short story, so it would be flash fiction. I knew I need to get something out. To me, writing is like a muscle and you need to exercise it every day or else it will lose its fervor. Even to those of you struggling with writer’s block, try and get something out. It’ll somehow release the blockage you have whether it shows you what you’ve been doing wrong or it shows that you simply needed a break and to not overwork yourself.

I wanted this piece to be a sensory experience and to be fully engaging and relatable. Basically, this story is about someone who has a lot going on in their life, but they’re taking everything around them to gather some perspective for themselves. They learned to see the beauty in things and have a stronger attitude. In fact, this is a good mechanism to adapt when you’re overwhelmed with a lot of things.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the story. Stay tuned for poetry breakdown!
